Currently, there are LUGs in 25 states and 15 countries. The Sun User Group supports these local groups with listings, literature, a mailing list, and organizational assistance. Several international LUGs have entered into formal arrangements with the Sun User Group to ensure that their members receive README and other SUG benefits. Periodicals The Sun User Group publishes a bimonthly newsletter, README, which contains technical articles, User Group news, and Sun Microsystems and third-party vendor information. README is also one of the ways through which SUG keeps its members informed about new developments, beneifts, and shows. Submissions are encouraged, and may be sent to readme@sug.org. Past issues included articles concerning superuser privileges, domain name servers, and networks.
